Foris Vineyards

Discover the story of Foris Vineyards, where unwanted land in Southern Oregon has been transformed into an acclaimed and family-owned wine-growing destination, thanks to the vision and dedication of owner Ted Gerber. Since 1974, Ted Gerber has cultivated grapes and sold them commercially to wineries across the Pacific Northwest.

Ted Gerber's unwavering passion for grape growing led him to embrace the challenges presented by the region's weather. Despite frost being a known issue in the area, he implemented innovative techniques, including sprinklers and wind machines, to overcome the obstacles. By doing so, Foris Vineyards became a pioneer in grape production in an area with no previous history of viticulture.

The 188-acre vineyard lies in the Rogue Valley and is the southernmost vineyard in the Pacific Northwest. It is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes of flatlands, forests, and timber-filled hillsides, adding to its allure. Foris Vineyards cultivates the perfect environment for Pinot Noir due to its excellent soil, micro-location, and mix of several good clones. The stunning setting, combined with Gerber's commitment to quality living, creates an ambiance that is reflected in Kate Arnold Wines Oregon Pinot Noir.
